Hello. In this blog post I’m going to analyze some artist who I think blend 3D and 2D art exceptionally well.
This blog post explores artists who blend 3D and 2D art well, including TUOER, Sam Carr, NAKAI, Aliya Chen, Felicia Chen, Inio Asano, and Naoki Urasawa. The post includes examples of their work and techniques they use, such as scanning 3D objects and drawing over 3D renders.

thinks i like about this:
- it looks like a movie
- the color grading is really cinematic
- the dragons on the building and the room look really complicated and detailed to paint, but i think that they’re a part of the 3d rendering

Pretty sure he uses images and draws over them. Besides what is shown in that video, he's currently also creating 3D models which he then imports into Unreal Engine 4 and renders them as an image. Then he draws over it.
